  • Overview

    Development and oversight of agency marketing, outreach, public relations and events.


    • Field inquiries for services, questions about services, general questions through phone system and website
    • Coordination of special outreach efforts
    • Represent Agency at Conferences/Exhibits/Provider Fairs
    • Hire, Train and Supervise community liaisons regarding events, marketing items, referrals, marketing conference calls, marketing quarterly meetings, admissions, screenings, finances as it relates to admissions, etc.
    • Order marketing supplies
    • Submit purchase orders for marketing supplies, marketing events, etc. as needed
    • Develop collateral material including brochures, handouts, promotional material, website information, etc.
    • Work with vendors to ensure updates to website
    • Attend ribbon cuttings, open houses, community events as applicable for marketing and to conduct supervisory visits with regional community liaisons
    • Review marketing reports
    • Review marketing and outreach efforts through marketing database/CRM
    • Follow up about status of open referrals
    • Protocol about what we are saying to everyone who tours/inquires to ensure we are highlighting our strengths, setting ourselves apart
    • Periodic Face to Face Visits with referral sources with each community
    • Development of business development initiatives with potential referral sources
    • Work with contracted referral agencies to ensure current VSC community contacts, pricing, contracts, etc.
    • Training regarding information learned from visits with referral sources
    • Community Liaison regional meetings
    • Training based on trends identified with marketing across the board
    • Letters from corporate office to new admission responsible parties
    • Training regarding events/hospitality
    • Evaluate marketing that is occurring and its effectiveness
    • Pushing incentives, caregiver support groups, weekly faxes, marketing into other counties, other marketing outreach
    • Compare VSC marketing efforts with that of local/regional competition
    • Liaison for development of activities and wellness programs
    • Training with new activity directors
    • Review of monthly activity calendars
    • Assure recognition of special holidays (Mother’s Day/ Father’s Day/ Easter/ Christmas, etc.) in each VSC community
    • Quarterly meetings with Activity Directors
    • Assist with obtaining PASRR numbers
    • Update admission documents required as needed as applicable to changing requirements/VSC policy
    • Distribute changes in admission, marketing, requirements for pre admission/admission as applicable and as needed to VSC communities, Administrators, Regional Community Liaisons
    • Serve on community committees, boards, etc as needed and as deemed beneficial for VSC growth, business development, marketing purposes
    • Presentations about services offered to various community groups, referral sources, etc as appropriate
    • Attend Chamber Events, community agency events to represent VSC
    • Update agency social media sites
    • Train new Administrators regarding marketing, pre admission, admission
    • Train new Administrators/Marketing directors regarding CRM software and manage new user registration
    • Write press releases regarding events, new services, etc.
    • Utilize activity connection to send monthly activity calendar templates to Activity Directors and Administrators
    • Utilize activity connection to send monthly activity ideas to Activity Directors and Administrators
    • Other Duties as needed or required by circumstance



    • Must be 24 years old due to company liability insurance requirements
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; however, some college is preferred
    • Must possess proven skills in sales, written and verbal communication, organization and evaluation
    • Must have the ability and willingness to perform cold calls and telephone sales calls
    • Must possess good computer skills with emphasis on working in spreadsheets
    • Must be goal oriented and competitive
    • Must secure two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire and second test within two weeks of first test)
    • Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
    • Must have clear SBI and DMV records and maintain this status during employment
    • Travel required up to 25%
